The slimmer, trimmer user interface which has fewer toolbars in less space is a huge improvement. However blurry, unreadable text completely ruins the browsing experience.
My opinion: Wait until Microsoft offers some way to disable the sub-pixel rendering and Clear Type in Internet Explorer or wait for Internet Explorer 10.
