Bookmarks are a handy way to remember a website and return to it later. Using bookmarks, you can tell your computer to remember where a specific web page is located and clicking on the bookmark will bring you back to the same page later.
The term 'bookmark' is used in Netscape and Mozilla browsers. Internet Explorer uses the word 'Favorites'. Both do much the same thing, however, Internet Explorer stores bookmarks as individual files. Mozilla and Netscape store bookmarks in a single file, saving significant disk space.
